COSTA PRO OF THE WEEK: Tim Dean When it comes to the East - TopicsExpress

COSTA PRO OF THE WEEK: Tim Dean When it comes to the East Coast Gamefishing scene, Captain Timothy Dean is part of the furniture! He has cemented his position as a highly regarded and respected captain by amassing a huge amount of experience fishing and guiding the hallowed grounds off Cairns, Port Stephens and every port in between! Timmy has been wearing COSTA sunglasses for many years now, and due to his need to see all signs of life out on the bluewater, both in and on, he relies on his glasses and the eye protection they give him heavily. As for the fishing with the Costa’s, I am still using the earliest pair I received from you. That is until I received the new sets this year whilst fishing in Kona. I am a firm believer in not changing anything which is not broken or is working well for me. This was how I was with the 400 lenses I was wearing, “how can they get any better”? Well after the first instant I put on the new 580 lenses I knew I was wrong. Nothing short of amazing! How far things can improve in a few short years! As you know I spend hours each day in pretty severe conditions at times, staring back at baits and teasers. I need to control whatever I can, one of these things is my eye comfort. Costa 580 are not just the clearest, cleanest and most crisp lens you will look through they are also so bloody light. Hours of glass lenses on the beak can become uncomfortable on a flat day yet alone when it’s blowing more than you like! I also must admit all those little blue cleaning cloths you supply me are nice and yes I know what they are for. Truth known, if you made a shirt out of the material or sewed a section into one of my fishing shirts then I would use them. I use my fishing shirt, my crewmans shirt or anyone else whoever is closest and driest when I need to wipe some of the Coral Sea, Pacific Ocean, Tasman Sea or Gulf of Mexico from my Costa’s. I do not have the luxury of nice dry items at my fingertips yet alone fresh water in the tower and the Marlin don’t wait for anyone, even me! You need to be quick to respond, which means seeing the fish as early as you can on your baits or teasers. Hence keep em on your face! I used to be stoked with my Costa’s, now with my new 580, well they are truly next level!
