COURTESY : Adnan Ali I wonder if Nazis behaved like this - if they too hit women, threw children around and generally terrified an unarmed populace. I guess they did. But then what does that say about these brave soldiers carrying out their duties in Gaza. Had there been even a modicum of morality or humanity left in them, theyd remember what was done to their ancestors and theyd have refrained. Instead it seems, there is some kind of a repressed anger hidden in each one of them against the atrocities committed against their people over the millennia and they want to take it out on someone. It just so happens that the people who dished out this sort of a behavior to their earlier generations are still too powerful and cannot be treated shabbily so the poor tormented souls have to take it out on a people who are within striking range and are unable to pay them back in the same coin. But would this state of affairs continue this way? Would it never change? Would they always be the mighty, the powerful? Would the oppressed continue to lie supine? I am sure someone among them must think about it, if only occasionally.
