**COURTESY POST** Can anyone help sweet beautiful Scout? If we have a willing foster we can! Here is her story from a guardian angel of hers: Female German Shorthair Pointer that is in need of a home. Her owner was in a bad accident this summer and is in a medical care facility and likely will never be returning home. Family members have been have been feeding her, but are unable to take her in themselves. This is what I know about Scout: She is about 7 years old, not spayed, most likely hasnt been to the vet since 2010. She is about 65 lbs. She was bought to be a hunting dog, but turns out she is gun shy. She has lived outside in a kennel her whole life. She is very friendly, even with strangers as I have only met her once very briefly and my brother was with me and she had never met him before. I do not think she has been around kids much (her owner was a single guy that has a grown up daughter), but I dont have any kids to see how she is either. I am planning on taking one of my dogs over tomorrow to see how she is with him, but I believe she has hunted with other dogs before so I think she is good with them. She has quite a bit of energy but I think a lot of that happens to be that she is in a very small pen and has not had much interaction lately. She knows sit and lay down.
