We are pleased to be opening a facility, the Massachusetts Bay Veterans Center (MBVC) in Somerville, which will provide housing and coordinate needed services for veterans. COVER STAFF This position works in our Massachusetts Bay Veterans Center serving veterans. The MBVC is our transitional and permanent housing facility in Somerville, MA. As a Cover Staff person, your major function is to maintain a safe and secure environment; supervise residents in daily activities and routines; and provide counseling and crisis intervention. You will also manage the reception area and help maintain client records. If you are interested in working with veterans, this is a great place opportunity! We are seeking candidates who have some experience working in the Human Service field with a high school degree or the equivalent, or some higher education coursework, plus experience in a human service setting with some direct care contact with veterans. Experience in security, direct care and/or work in residential facilities preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated excellent customer service skills, and an ability to work in the fast paced environment of a residential facility. We are currently seeking candidates for part-time positions for evening shifts, weekend shifts, and overnight shifts.
