CR Bible Devoltional Day 25 Stuck on Forgiveness... I will never forgive you. Those words strike fear and pain in our hearts. And although we may say the words out loud, we may also be thinking, I will never forgive myself. My sins are too terrible for forgiveness. There are several places along our recovery journey where we can get stuck. Sometimes we are unable to forgive ourselves. When this happens, we need to go back to Principle Six: Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm Ive done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others. Gods Word tells us he will cleanse us from every wrong, every sin! 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Not just some our wrongs, but all of them! Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace. Our sin isnt special or different. It is covered by what Christ did on the cross for each of us. Isaiah 1:18 Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. This is what God wants to do with the darkness of our past so we can truly accept his forgiveness and forgive ourselves. Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. When we finally forgive ourselves, make our amends and offer restitution, our recovery will again flourish.
