CRA and other residents associations in Ward 90 - which falls - TopicsExpress

CRA and other residents associations in Ward 90 - which falls under Region B - have been invited to meet the Region B director, Ms Vicky Shupeng, tomorrow 29 July. The CRA has prepared a comprehensive list of current concerns, som epraise - and some complaints! Our list includes: 1. JPC apparently giving permission for an outside company to build on park area adjacent to Craighall Scout Hall, Waterfall Ave – the CRA has been involved with discussions with JPC for several years and we are deeply concerned and alarmed that JPC has taken such action without ANY community consultation – we plan to protest this in every way we can; 2. Light pollution from 1 Bompas Rd development – bright lights on 5 levels are disturbing many residents in the vicinity at night – also concern about corporate responsibility over saving electricity, especially at times of peak Eskom load; 3. Traffic issues especially in the morning near Craighall Primary School – toddler nearly knocked over by a taxi jumping traffic light at the school on 9/7/14; 4. Quality of road marking paint – road marking near CHP Primary school was completed just over a year ago – paint has faded so much that markings are barely visible; 5. Pavements still not repaired / whole problem of way leaves / JRA not having an accurate record of contractors / digging continues with no indication of contractor etc. Well give residents feedback as we can.
