CRAIGMONT, ID - A wildland fire-line safety training workshop is scheduled for, July 1st at 5:00 p.m., at Craigmont City Hall conference room. Anyone interested in volunteering with a local fire department of fire district is welcome to attend. The main focus of the class is for training rural fire fighters and is required to obtain a government red card certification. The class will be taught by the Idaho Department of Lands - Craig Mountain Forest Protection District, with assistance from Winchester Rural Fire District. Additional information regarding fire safety, volunteering, and the Winchester Rural Fire District Annexation and training may be obtained at the Lewis County Courthouse by contacting Dave Hasz, Lewis County Emergency Manager or calling (208) 937-2380.
