CURRENT: 56 fires burning across the state and 18 out of control. Tomorrow weather conditions will reach their peak - itll be as bad as it gets. Possibly causing more loss of houses and lives. 100 kmph wind gusts, humidity below 10% and the temp in the low to mid 30s. Nursing homes in Springwood have been evacuated. Schools in the Blue Mountains are closed, as are day care centres and pre schools. Parents are advised to keep their children with them all day.
