A large shipping company based in Durban North seeks a Customer Service in Export Documentation to start immediately. Requirements: Experience in the liner shipping business or freight forwarding • Responsible, decisive and outgoing personality • Ability to take initiative and able to work under pressure • Analytical, systematic and efficient way of work • Attention to detail important • Enthusiasm and team spirit • Customer and service orientation • Willingness to work overtime and to be on standby • Good IT knowledge • Very good command of written and spoken English Description: • Receive shipping instruction directly or via EDI • Create Maritime Transport Documents and assign transport parties • Retrieve Revenues and cross check with sales department • Create prepaid invoices • Liaise with Operations for confirmation of Loaded containers • Release Maritime Transport Documents and Invoices • Issue of certificates and consulate documents, mailing of documents • Supply authorities with manifest data • Transmit manifest to US and Canadian Customs • Handle customs acquittals • Stamp CTOs after receiving of bill of entry and cargo dues • Clarify all customer queries • Provide customers with shipping details • Communicate with customer in case of exception handling of shipments • Handling and execution of internal security requirements Please email Tessa Schuurman: [email protected] Unfortunately only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
