CV is your first contact with a potential employer. It is your ambassador. It is your spokesperson. It is your salesman. Make sure, it truly represents you. Today, I browsed around 100 CVs of sales engineers. Only one is short-listed. If an engineer writes Metric and Carrier, his/her degree is a question mark. You might argue what role the correct English has to play in the life of an engineer? Sales Engineers have to communicate with customers, write proposals, give presentations to clients etc, companies dont tolerate lousy communication. There is a difference between Mistry and an Engineer. There are thousands of vacancies in the market, employers cant find the right person. That is the reason, companies engage headhunters. Headhunters are extra cautious because their own reputation depends upon immaculate selection.
