Caber prep all afternoon. The womens A class stick is ready. Its ugly, a bit squirrelly, and a whole lot heavier than it looks, cause eucalyptus is dense stuff. 15 8 and 60 pounds, but it looks like its about 30 pounds! However, its trimmed down to the best dimensions I can give it and its safe...no nasty knots to tear up a ladies hand. Mens A class caber is barked, trimmed and shaped. 17 9 and right now, Id guesstimate about 140 pounds, because its wet and fresh. We just cut the tree yesterday. Its much too heavy for me to weigh. Its got a week to dry out, maybe with luck itll get down to 120. What would be cool would be if it dries out to about 110. Then Ill seal it with clearcoat polyurethane and seal up the end. Itll be the perfect practice for Scotland caber.
