Cafe Eden is closed until further notice, perhaps until Doug returns from Scotland. We plan for that to be on or before Thanksgiving. However, we have some plans for musical events, including this next Friday, September 27th, at The Gathering Place, next door to Cafe Eden, a mini-concert from 8pm to 10pm, performance by Cold Water Dog, who has played several times to a sold out house at Cafe Eden. Seats will be on sale today. Call Mary at 479-209-6739 for seats to this event. Paul & Veronica Post will be selling wine from Post Familie Winery, and I will be selling coffee, tea and sodas, and homemade snacks will be available for purchase, also. The concert is to kick off the start of a non-profit organization, Altus Musical and Cultural Association, to support live performances and cultural events in Altus. $7 per seat, paid in advance, in person or by mail, to PO Box 60, Altus, AR 72821. I urge everyone who loves music to attend this event to expand the musical and cultural opportunities in Altus.
