Cakes of Wanaka have done our last cake for the season, and WOW what a summer its been. Plenty of gorgeous weddings (yes I know I am way behind with posting photos), and some really exciting birthday cakes, great to do some for well known locals too. Our brand new shop on the lakefront was a huge stepping stone for us, with an on-site fully registered commercial kitchen (for those that dont know, this is a legal requirement if you are selling food), along with pretty display cakes and a small selection of yummy sweet treats for taking home. We have also been involved in a couple of exciting photoshoots, for which I cant wait to see the professional shots from Alpine Image Co. as it was such a gorgeous day. Coming up soon we will be exhibiting at an Expo in Queenstown in July, so watch this space for more details, as there will be many new display cakes and some yummy tasty treats! I would just like to say a special thanks to those still waiting on quotes, they have taken me a long time to get through them, and I promise I will get there. We have all of winter to plan the gorgeous cakes for next summer. Cakes of Wanaka are reknowned for our great modern designs, perfect finishing, and exceptionally sturdy structure. They will travel outside of Wanaka, on our gravel roads with ease, wont melt in hot unairconditioned venues and all our photos and displays are our own work so you can see exactly what you are buying. We have been asked ALOT about classes, yes they will be coming soonish over winter. We may even organise some demos from other talented locals in the area involved in the food industry.
