Calgary Flames call up Burlington native Josh Jooris Flames in Columbus Friday Hamilton Spectator Former Burlington Jr. A Cougars star Josh Jooris has been called up by the NHL Calgary Flames. The Flames announced today that the 24-year-old Burlington native will join the team after the forward played two games with the American Hockey League Adirondack Flames. Last year, Jooris played for the Abbotsford Heat after signing with the Flames as an undrafted free agent. He scored 11 goals and added 16 assists for the Heat. Jooris played three years of NCAA hockey at Union College following his time with the Cougars. The Flames’ next game is Friday in Columbus against the Blue Jackets.
