Calibra Tour H Review by ITTF International Referee Ireland Cabrido (Philippines) STIGA Calibra Tour H rubber is a very fast rubber. I think it is designed for a player who wants more spin and speed on their game. There is one thing I like with this rubber it produces strong spin and speed without sacrificing the control and ball feeling. I tried different Chinese rubbers it hard and heavy. Although its produces strong spin especially forehand loop it really produce strong and heavy topspin but the speed is slow and the weight is heavy that gives a lot of burden to a player during training and competition. It is an excellent rubber for serving because of the tacky surface of the Chinese rubber. Tensor rubber or Japanese and German rubber is an excellent rubber for loop, block and drive. But for serving it does not create heavy spins particularly the softer ones. But the STIGA Calibra Tour H almost provides both characteristics of German, Japanese and Chinese rubbers. I tried, Forehand loop against back spin it really create heavy topspin rotation with a lot of phase but still maintain good feeling on the ball. Maybe because of its rough top sheet that helps the rubber to produce strong spin and good feeling. For push, block and drive is very good because it is bouncy and fast but control and feeling is there, especially if you want to add more power on your stroke. For serving it is also very good because of the rough surface that produces a strong spin and good feeling on the ball. Although, it does not matches the spin of the Chinese rubber but I think it almost reaches their tightness and tackiness. Forehand counter loop away or close to the table is excellent it really create a lot of phase on the speed and spin. For flicks is fast that can gain initiative on the ball. This is an awesome and superb rubber. I really like this rubber especially when I do explosive forehand loop it is like doing a slam dunk. I recommend this rubber for advancing player who wants additional speed and spin. I also recommend this rubber to use it on their forehand side.
