Call for participation: Unisa #OurVoteOurVoice Soapbox Rally If you are young and talented in the arts or speech writing, then this is for you... The Organisation of African Youth (OAYouth) in partnership with InkuluFreeHeid is hosting a Soapbox Rally at UNISA as part of the national #OurVoteOurVoice campaign (visit website for more information inkulufreeheid.org/OVOV/) aimed at deepening democracy in run up to 2014 election. The #OurVoteOurVoice campaign is a strictly non-partisan campaign aimed at increasing youth engagement and voter participation in the upcoming 2014 National General Elections (NGE). One of the three tenets of the campaign are the #OurVoteOurVoice Soapbox Rallies. These are a national grassroots movement of community-led and owned solutions-orientated soapbox rallies that stimulate local level action and democratic engagement (for a more defined clear example visit:youtube/watch.) This call for participation is for young people (between the ages of 18 and 35) to submit proposals of theme-specific music, drama, dance items, poems, and/or speeches to be performed at the University of South Africa (Unisa) on the 26th of September 2013.
