Call me a cheerleader I dont care... I had a great experience at the Bell county Clerks office two days in a row. Tags were out of date and due to former clerks erratic and unpredictable schedule not having the office open consistently I could never get in whenever it was open. Tuesday, I waited in line for just a short time and Kim helped me get going on the paper work to take care of a trade in that the taxes were still outstanding on. The ladies in the assessors office were extremely helpful also. So, I went back yesterday and Lisa got me in an out very quickly and I had the decal on the truck within a half hour. The point is, no one wants to wait in line or part with money but they made it painless. It wasnt always that way, but it is now. The doors are open, people are answering the phones, business is being done and I didnt have to pay $5.00 for something I shouldnt have had to in the first place. That was done away with along with the cloud hanging over that office. Is it perfect yet or even close to it? No, but I have seen more progress in three days than in several years. I am not recanting my personal frustration with the way the office HAD been run because the person in charge was doing a terrible disservice to the county as well as many of the employees of that office. Its running, and business is happening. I am thankful.
