Calling all Sons and Daughters of Revoe School .... The School is having to become an Academy due to its recent OFSTED report. As a part of this, the new Academy Trust and IEB (who are acting Governors) are proposing to change the name of the school entirely, to try and dissociate it with problems of the recent past. I personally feel this would be papering over the cracks instead of dealing with more important educational issues. I am proud of Revoe School and propose that it keeps the name Revoe Community Academy. Unfortunately, it WILL become an academy, that part we cannot change, but to lose the name Revoe altogether is quite frankly, in my opinion, disrespectful to say the least. If you have any thoughts on this matter, please put it in writing and get it to the school by this Friday 31st January. They sent the letter home with my Son yesterday, leaving very little time for anyone to object. Thank you.
