Calling all horse owners! What do you know about colic? Have you had a horse with colic, would you know what to do if your horse developed colic? Colic is one of the most feared diseases in the horse, and rightly so – whilst many cases are mild and fully resolve, it is the most common emergency problem seen by vets, and colic is one of the main causes of death in the horse. A research team at Nottinghams School of Veterinary Medicine and Science are asking horse owners to complete a short questionnaire, about their experiences, how they would recognise a case of colic, and where they think more information or education would help them.
