Calling in all ringmer residents who would like to see our village secure brand new sports facilities in exchange for housing. The Ringmer parish neighbourhood building plan is now out which totally ignores the offer from a land owner to gift and build a full range of sports facilities, all weather pitch for football, hockey etc and club house in exchange for 100 houses, 40 of which will be built under the affordable scheme. This land is situated right by the secondary school with good road and bus access. The parish council have turned this site down as they say WE, as residents, want to keep the divide between the broyle and "ringmer village". instead they support other developments that do not offer the sports scheme for the village. If, like me, you feel the village would benefit from a range of state of the art sports fields and sport facilities for all weathers as well as containing 100 new houses (of our allotted 220) in one site that has direct access to the main road then please email your thoughts to clerk.ringmerparishcouncil.org.uk. The more people that comment the better.
