Callout #1 Saturday 25th January at 14.58; Sidmouth Lifeboat crew were tasked to reports of a person in distress in the water who had become detached from their kayak and unable to retrieve it. Sidmouth Lifeboat crew were stood down prior to launch as the person had made it to shore, along with the kayak. Beer Coastguard team, working alongside the Portland Rescue helicopter 106, were then able to ensure the wellbeing of the casualty who had suffered no significant injuries requiring further medical attention.
