Calum 1916 Euro Nights Crossbar Challenge By: Newsroom Staff on 01 Nov, 2013 12:51 TO celebrate the launch of our new Euro Nights DVD, we’ll be inviting FIVE people on to the pitch at half-time during Saturday’s match against Dundee United to take part in a very special Crossbar Challenge. To be in with a chance of taking to the field, supporters simply have to buy the DVD at the Superstore here at Celtic Park between 12.30pm and 2.15pm tomorrow (Saturday, November 2) ahead of the game, and they’ll automatically be entered into a draw to win the chance to take to the hallowed turf. Winners will then be advised by a member of Celtic staff on how to take part in the challenge. The challenge at half-time then is to hit the crossbar with a shot from the edge of the penalty box (Don’t worry, we know the half-way line is a bit far!), with any successful players then receiving a signed home shirt by tomorrow’s Man of the Match. The Euro Nights DVD goes on sale Saturday, November 2 (9am) at all Celtic stores, and is a celebration of some special nights and occasions that the club have been part of in over 50 years of European action. Since an opening encounter with Valencia in 1962, the club have become synonymous with European football, and have made their mark on the continent while competing against some of the greatest names in world football in a variety of competitions. And now, with the Euro Nights DVD there’s a chance to re-live a whole host of memories, fantastic moments and some truly wonderful goals. Europe is the stage that made Celtic a global brand, a famous name in world football, and one of the most passionately supported clubs in history, and this exciting new DVD shows the reasons why. Get your copy at the Celtic Park Superstore tomorrow (Saturday) for a chance to take to the pitch made famous by so many Celtic heroes, past and present. The Euro Nights is also available ONLINE or on 0871 226 1888* *Calls cost up to 10p per minute, telecoms provider dependent. Mobile and other provider charges may vary.
