Can I be excused for not being able to remember where I was when the news broke of the Kennedy assassination? After all, I was in Japan and it would have happened during the middle of the night. I guess wed have gotten the news when we woke up the next morning. But I dont remember much of that. We didnt have constant TV (in English) to keep our attention for the next few days, either. (I DO remember a classmate of mine whose father was the consul general. He wasnt allowed to come out and play for about 30 days, it seemed.)
