Can I just give a quick shout out to the boys Martin Woodgates and Tony Carnell for the work theyre doing in the background for SynthWest. The team is building and work is progressing to bring things together for October and beyond. If anyone wants to put themselves forward to help share the workload in organising and supporting SynthWest, please feel welcome to get in touch with either myself or Martin. One idea is whether we have a representative for specific areas around the south west. Obviously between myself and Martin were covering the south Devon area, so if youre in a good position to investigate acts, venues and possible events, and you have the enthusiasm and time to help us in the future wed love to hear from you. This is a non profit organisation created by Martin to promote and raise the level of awareness and opportunities for synth and electronic music in our area, so although we cant offer moolah for your efforts, we can offer a big pat on the back and the benefit of being at the heart of something special. Tickets and special, extremely well priced merchandise is on the way to promote SynthWest and raise funds to cover future costs. Any more ideas for fundraising would also be very welcome. Its early days, but it would be nice to have some ideas in the pipeline once things start picking up.
