Can you volunteer a few hours? Good afternoon! As most of you know I am one of the coordinators for bringing in the Vietnam Wall that is arriving on September 12, 2013 at Buckeye Career Center. I am helping to coordinate the staff to cover the Computer/wall rubbings tent , Donation/Memorabilia tent, Food tent for volunteers, and the tent for the “37.” Please pass this along to everyone you can! 1)We need volunteers starting at 7 am on September 12th. The slots are in 2 hour increments. People can sign up for more hours. 2) Food wish list: We can use several things to round out our menu for the week. We are feeding approximately 150 volunteers a day through Monday the 16th. We will take any and all donations! Fresh fruit, Coleslaw, Macaroni salad, covered dishes except Italian, gallon drinks / pop, fresh vegetables and dips, 3 gallons of milk, individual sunny delight or juice, baked goods. People can call Cherie Wetzel at 330-243-3882 anytime or Penny (after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday) @ 330-795-4150 to arrange times or drop-offs. 3) Honor Guard: Veterans wanting to be honor guard at the wall: Honor Guard starts approximately at noon on Wednesday the 11th.
