Canada Environment has extended severe thunderstorm watch to the areas of Peace River - Fairview - High Prairie - Manning. Severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon. Thunderstorms have formed over the Peace River region and are moving slowly. The main threats with these thunderstorms will be heavy downpours giving rainfall amounts approaching 50 millimetres large hail and strong winds. For Slave Lake, the forecast for Friday evening is showers with thunderstorms. Amount 10 to 20 mm. Wind southeast 20 km/h becoming light overnight. Low 13.
