Cant believe in this day and age OAPs dont get a grant to aid in having new central heating system placed in the house. My mum who has never claimed a penny in benefits, worked for 35 years of her life has no central heating, is over 60 years old and doesnt qualify for any help whatsoever. It is scandalous!! Makes me blood boil!!! Does anyone know of someone who can go round to my poor mums house to help? Her pump has broken upstairs and she has no central heating at all!!!! Man has been round today and quoted over 300 quid and told her her whole central heating needs replacing...well over 6000 quid which, well lets be honest...who has that kind of money tucked away for a cold and windy day....
