Can’t find a badminton partner? These robots will help! Here is another great example of how #technology is changing people’s way of living, from dining to entertainment. Students in #China’s Northeast University have recently begun developing “#badmintonrobots”, which literally means they will be used to play badminton with human beings. Could these robots move as quickly and as flexibly as humans? According to its developers, they will play under instructions from its operators and are expected to work as excellent badminton partners. This is not, however, the first time #robots are becoming increasingly ubiquitous in China. Since late last year, robots have replaced human beings as waiters in dozens of Chinese restaurants, including in east China’s Shandong Province and in Urumqi, the capital city of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
