Captain Paul Watson Yesterday at 01:01 · Sea Shepherd Update - July 23rd, 2014 The R/V Odyssey had to return to port briefly in Florida after Captain Bob Wallace fell off the vessel in rough seas. He was successfully recovered but suffered a broken rib. Dr. Iain Kerr from Ocean Alliance will be giving a talk on NPR today on the impact of the Deep Water Horizon Spill. WGCU - (NPR) Wednesday at 1:00P.M. The Steve Irwin is in Tasmania undergoing dry dock work and on-going repairs and improvements are being undertaken on the Sam Simon and the Bob Barker in Williamstown, Victoria, Australia. The Columbus along with four small fast boats from Sea Shepherd France are in the Faroes with 70 volunteers on the ground. This is the 44th day in the Faroes without any whales being killed. The U.K. will be sending the Spitfire to the Faroes in early August. The Brigitte Bardot and the Jairo Mora Sandoval are in Cape Verde working with local conservation groups. Sea Shepherd Asia is working to stop the importing of Taiji caught dolphin by the Russians into Phuket, Thailand. Sea Shepherd Australia is working to stop the slaughter of sharks. Sea Shepherd in Vancouver will be attending the Vancouver Parks Board hearing about allocating funds for the expansion of the Vancouver Aquarium.
