Captains Log, Stardate 090914: During our mission to the Brockville quadrant, our current objective to stock up on brotein, we were badly damaged. We believe to have hit some kind of intergalactic disturbance, a sunken part of space similar to that of a black hole but without the gravitational lure. Research suggests that it is indeed a sinkhole. Most damage has been done to the hull of the ship, our frontal nacelle being badly damaged. Though the crew remains fit and well, the ship itself has been sent to Repair Station Theta for 1 week. During this downtime, we have employed our sister vessel the USS Momcar to take over any travelling needs. Though the crew is wary that improvements to the engines must halt for the time being, Ive encouraged my crew to spend time at Starfleet Academy, where in being under the command of Admiral Brad Toupin, we shall continue improvements outside the U.S.S. Unimatrix 0. As captain, I am pained to see my ship taken from me and thus must rely on the morale support of Lieutenant Commander Simon Stiles and Betazoid ambassador, Kyle Bremner, while I await return to my ship.
