Caramel Popcorn Recipe! Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup syrup (corn or any other) 2 cups brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt (or more, I prefer more) 1 1/2 cups of popcorn kernels Glass of cold water Directions: 1. Pop the popcorn, place in large bowl and set aside. 2. Mix butter, syrup, brown sugar and salt together in medium saucepan on minimum. 3. Turn up to medium-high and stir until the brown sugar is dissolved and it starts to bubble (about 5 mins) 4. Let it bubble for 3-5 mins, no stirring. 5. Test the syrup by dropping a few drops from a spoon into the cold water. If the pieces harden to the texture of hard candy, it is ready to put on the popcorn. If it is still soft, keep boiling on medium high and test the sauce again every 1-2mins. 6. Pour over popcorn and stir until popcorn cools and the syrup hardens (5-10 mins). Enjoy! *This recipe is very fast-paced and will burn easily, so make sure you have all your equipment handy and standby the saucepan until you are finished cooking it.
