Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay believes that goal hero - TopicsExpress

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay believes that goal hero Fraizer Campbell can earn an England recall if he keeps up his good form. The ex- Manchester United striker headed home two goals to help the Bluebirds beat Man City 3-2 in their first Premier League match on home soil. And Mackay reckons the 25-year-old, who earned one Three Lions cap during his spell with Sunderland, can force his way back into Roy Hodgson’s plans. He said: “I think he has got a lot of ability and I think he showed today, against top, top defenders, that if he keeps his head down, keeps working hard and keeps playing like that there is a chance that eventually he will be considered for England again. “I think he’s worth multi-millions. I thought we got him for a fantastic price [a reported £650,000]. “He was coming to the end of a contract [at Sunderland] and it was one of those situations where we were in the right place at the right time for the player.”
