Cardinals signed DC Todd Bowles to a 3-year contract extension that ties him to Arizona through 2017 season, per league source. The deal makes Bowles one of the five highest-paid assistant coaches in the NFL and proves Arizona is willing to spare no expense to keep its talent. The deal was hammered in recent days by president Michael Bidwill and general manager Steve Keim. Now, when teams pursue Bowles for head-coaching opportunities, which is expected this winter, he now will have the chance to be extremely selective about taking a job and leaving Arizona.
