Care Assistant – Paediatric Paediatric Care Assistant required to support a delightful 4 year old boy in the Huddersfield area £7.50 - £9.50 per hour, Waking Nights Interserve Healthcare has been entrusted with the care of a 4 year old boy who lives with his family in the Huddersfield area. He enjoys watching television and having stories read to him before bedtime. This delightful young boy suffers with Epilepsy and requires a tracheostomy, PEG for feeds and medication and nebuliser therapy. He requires your expert skills and attention to help him get a restful night sleep. We are looking for devoted and extraordinary Care Assistants who can commit to working part time waking night shifts on a regular basis. You will be providing respite for our clients family, ensuring our clients comfort at all times. You will be have previous experience of supporting young children with complex care needs in their own homes, and be able to: Undertake tracheostomy care Undertake PEG Feeds and medication Undertake personal care Provide nebuliser therapy You will have strong communication skills, and have a clear understanding of confidentiality. You will be able to work pro actively, under your own initiative, in a sensitive and empathetic manner. You will be able to offer commitment to regular working hours in order to ensure continuity of care. Clinical references will be required to illustrate recent working history.
