Caring for the Orphans.... Last month when I was in Batam for a short getaway, a good friend of mine, Mr. Iman brought me to one of the orphanage homes there. Its so heartbreaking to know some of these orphans are as young as 2 years old! I was choked with emotions when I heard one of the older teenager made the Azan (prayer call) and all the younger orphans immediately formed a line to pray in congregation. Masyaallah, such a beautiful sight indeed! So moved I was by this trip that immediately when I got back to SIN, I wanted to do something for them. For a start, I gathered some clothes and toys from some of my students so that I can have them shipped there. I was sooo touched when the boss of Indobox Pte Ltd, Mr Iman Yusof, offered me to ship these clothes back to the orphans!!
