Carl is a tiny bit better. One of his doctors called us to come down on Thursday. He gave him a giant dose shot of prednisone and a prescription for it and one more prescription. He can now bend his fingers, wrists, elbows and can even brush his own teeth. Still cant get dressed, put on shoes and etc. Told him to stay in bed for a week. Still cant take any medicine for his arthritis though. While down there on Thursday, we saw a second dr. about his giant knee cap. He withdrew fluid from it to test for infection and which kind. Should know the results Monday. If there is no infection, he can finish his prednisone and then go on his arthritis meds. (Which we are praying for). If there is infection he will have to have antibiotics, depending on how bad, possibly hospital intravenous IV or just a prescription. When infection (if there is any), is all cleared up he can then start arthritis meds. Pray for no infection.
