Carmelo Anthony have given several indications to the press that he will opt out of his New York Knicks contract by Monday morning (June 23, 2014). The pending free agent is a hot commodity for his scoring skills, but just like Dwight Howard who have decided not to lure Anthony to the Houston Rockets, NBA superstar Dirk Nowitzi have decided that its not realistic to convince him to join the Dallas Mavericks next season (2014-15 season). Heres what Nowitzki told an ESPN Dallas reporter on Friday as he prepared for his Heroes Celebrity baseball game: Not really. Somebody in his camp brought up the Mavericks first. Its not like we brought him up. If were actually on his radar, then its great. Then, we obviously have to look at it. Like Ive said, hes obviously one of the most explosive scorers that we have in this league. If a player like that has your team on the radar, Donnie [Nelson] and Mark [Cuban] obviously have to look at it. Do I think its realistic?
