Carole King - Youve got a friend - Lyrics I wish I could take The best parts of Carole Kings version (the piano, the extra notes in the word friend that absolutely sell the entire feeling of the song) and James Taylors version (his calming voice, the gentler music, and the overall gentler tone) and make the song just perfect. Theyve played it together enough times that my dream version could actually exist. I could conceivably do my desired music for it but vocally I sound like a cat undergoing a sigmoidoscopy. So Ill just listen to every live duet anyone has recorded of them together and hope for a miracle lol.
