Cassiaofferings I wrote this Cassia a few years ago after the Boston Marathon bombing. I tweaked it a little, but the Wisdom of the Lord speaks comfort again for yet another tragic week in our world. ***************************************************************************************** I believe God is grieved and perhaps angry because of the senseless killings happening regularly. Paris this week, and we breathe a sigh of relief. It wasn’t us this time. We are sorrowful for them, but we think it doesn’t affect us... not this time. I feel sorrow for those who have lost their lives, like Im sure we all do. I am grieved in my spirit. Retreating to the secret place of certainty, of safety and of wisdom is a good response. I don’t always go there. I find myself subconsciously feeling stressed, apprehensive, and then it occurs to me. I’m carrying a load meant for Jesus Who is Wisdom. Holy Spirit searches out the Father’s heart and reveals His wisdom. There are no guarantees in this life except the one New Covenant promise Jesus made. Our heavenly Father offers us the ability to live forever in His Kingdom through knowing His Son Jesus Christ. Heaven after death, yes…God’s fellowship, provision, love, and kingdom on earth most definitely. So many people do not know this person Jesus, this God we love and serve, the One who is crying out for them! I grieve for my nation. I grieve for a nation of people who are asleep to the ways of God. Holy Spirit enabled me to see through the eyes of Father God our nations debased, demoralized, humanistic state of being, How far we have fallen, O great United States of America. Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked (Revelation 3:17 NASB). I have hope in God, but worry for my nation. I at times feel there is no sense in praying for what I see as an impossible situation. The United States is on a destructive path of our own choosing. Humanism is prevalent and so many have reasoned God out of their lives, schools, and governments. So you can see the enemy influences my thoughts at times until—Jesus breaks through with His truth about the situation! Pray for the nations to bow their knees to the One who created them. I have gone before you to spread out the word of truth to many nations. Through your intercession many are touched powerfully for the Kingdom of God. Trust Me to work in the hearts of men for my glory and renown He imparts courage to us to continue in the battle. Don’t give up children of God! Stand as watchmen on the walls praying and petitioning our God to wake the sleeping giant. I love our beautifully diverse country we call the United States of America!
