Castille John Harold, 92, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. He was born on January 29, 1920 to Moise and Jane Castille in Port Arthur, Texas. He retired from Texaco after 41 years as Head Foreman for the Treatment Department. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during WW II. He remained in the Reserves for 30 years and retired as a Major. He was married to his loving wife for 69 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Mathias and Anastasie Castille. John is survived by his loving wife, Anne Castille of Port Arthur, Texas; a daughter, Susan and husband Richard Bane of Orange, Texas; two granddaughters; Stacey and husband, Dr. Michael Olson of Orange, Texas, Nicole and husband Steven Vicha of Cypress, Texas; four great granddaughters; Chloe Olson, Layla Olson, Kaylan Vicha, Kylie Vicha; nephews; Frank L. and wife Mary Castille of Corpus Christi, Texas and Moise F. and wife Veronica Castille of Splendora, Texas. Visitation will be on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A rosary will be prayed Friday, November 16, 2012 at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 10 AM Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Steven McCrate, officiating. Graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur.
