Castleton Hill Moravian Church Picnic at Camp Hope. This is my first visit to Camp Hope! Mark Anderson can tell me the year because in another photo from the picnic hes with Lise Thosen, they were dating at that time. Illl guess its 1983 or 84? Its definatley not 1985 the year of Convo, that was a ways off yet. Pictured in he photo from left to right are: Kirk Thorsen, Kevin Werner, Me and Drew Parson. Were wearing shirts we got when we worked at a outdoor fair in Lincoln Center for a food vendor. Bob Faulahaber got us the jobs, we got paid very well for it to. Kirk doesnt have his shirt on here but he was with us as well. I remember him working the tempura stand and not long into it became a tempura master putting his own spin on it while talking like James Brown and getting really into it. Thats the side of Kirk I love. Kevins arm around in this photo shakes me up a lot as I view right now, I see a lot of friendship in that arm around me. I cant believe s gone.Theses guys and Steve Parson were my best friends and the first real friends I ever had in my neighborhood. I met Steve in the Fall of 1979 on while riding BMX bikes at the woods atop my street.
