Catholic Relief Services Jerusalem, West Bank, & Gaza (JWBG) Catholic Relief Services is an international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States and has been present in Jerusalem, West Bank, and Gaza since 1961. The CRS JWBG country program currently supports development/relief programs and activities in the sectors of civil society, humanitarian assistance, youth development, education, and peace & justice. CRS is implementing a 4-year USAID-funded project to develop Palestinian civil society, by increasing Palestinian civil society organizations’ viability and promoting civil society’s institutional development throughout the West Bank and Gaza. The Civic Participation Program (CPP) is in its third year, with a current expiration date of September 2014. CRS is seeking highly qualified candidate for the following position: Position Title: Assistant Project Officer Location: CRS/JWBG, Gaza Office Reports To: Partners Relations Officer JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the Partner Relations Officer (PRO), the APO is responsible for timely, efficient and effective administrative, organizational and technical support to sub-grantee CSOs. The APO plays an integral role in the flow of information into, through and out of CRS. S/He shall assist in monitoring performance of sub-grantees through regular semi-structured visits. In that respect, the APO keeps and circulates guidance, rules and supportive instructions to sub-grantees and provides answers whenever needed. The APO is expected to contribute in enhancement of efficiency and effectiveness through timely feedback to and from sub-grantees.
