Caught a trailer for BBC news the other day. All they were showing were snippets of violence of one kind or another. Horrified that they think they will draw people in. Even more horrified to think that some might be. This is why I gave up on mainstream news years ago. Its unbalanced, it lies, and even if a news item could be presented in a positive light, its almost always spun in the most negative, destructive way. When driving around I almost always mute the radio when the news comes on. Now and again though, I give it a chance for a few seconds in the hope Ill be pleasantly surprised. Am pretty much always let down. Until this morning that is. Couldnt believe my ears. The 9am news on the radio carried 4 stories. 3 were proper good news stories, and while the 4th wasnt, it was told from a positive perspective. Signs that things really are changing? I do hope so. :)
