Causes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A message from the campaign to Stop the slaughter of dolphins and whales -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update #21 Lets Make it Happen Again Posted By: Gil De Palma (campaign leader) Let’s make it happen again. 178,375 of you signed our petition to stop the slaughter of dolphins and whales at the Faroe Islands. We have shown our solidarity as a community and called the world’s attention to our cause. Now let’s do it once again, not just for dolphins and whales but also for the world... Pledge to join our Causes community’s Whale Call Project and make a video about ocean conservation using a unique soundtrack: whale/human music. links.causes/s/clQo30?r=UKOM Join the Whale Call Project The Whale Call Project is our global movement for marine life conservation using a distinctive from of music called whale call, a fusion of human and whale sounds, to encourage people to take action to SAVE OUR DYING SEAS. You have to listen to a whale call to experience it at: links.causes/s/clQo32?r=UKOM Whale Call symbolizes a cry for help by our dying seas using the sound of the whales, one of the Earth’s oldest and most intelligent creatures, together with all species harshly affected by degradation. And that includes us humans. The air we breathe, the food we eat, the medicine we take, our jobs and economy, the weather—everything on Earth is connected to the ocean. We all have a responsibility to keep the oceans healthy for our survival. Help Create Awareness and Build the OApp To achieve our objective, we will not only create awareness but also build the world’s first ocean conservation mobile app, the OApp. OApp puts action at your fingertips. You can start a cause by simply using your cellphone. Organize international supporters. Take action to save our seas. With the OApp anyone in the world can become a mobile cause leader. Your support will help make it happen. links.causes/s/clQo30?r=UKOM Pledge to Sound the Whale Call to Save our Seas From the time you read this message until Earth Day, April 22, 2014, we invite you to sound the Whale Call in a video showing your way of saving our oceans. Pledge your support. You will be a part of a one of a kind global campaign for ocean conservation. Download our whale call songs at links.causes/s/clQo4f?r=UKOM and use them as soundtrack of your video showing your way of saving our oceans and share it at: Play our whale call music, speak your mind, hold a sign, show your photos, organize a flash mob–do anything to get your message across. Whale Call is a medium for creative expression on ocean conservation. links.causes/s/clQo30?r=UKOM Whale Call to Stop the Slaughter I have to confess: Whale Call’s underlying message is “Save Dolphins and Whales.” As we encourage people to support our Whale Call Project, we will inform them about the slaughter of dolphins and whales around the world. We will also enlighten people about the role that whales and dolphins play in marine biodiversity. You can even make that the topic of your Whale Call videos! So everything we do for Whale Call will also highlight our advocacy to stop the slaughter of dolphins and whales. Whale Call is our community’s cause, after all. We have already proven that a small group of committed cause advocates can make a difference. Now let’s make that small group bigger and change the world. Let’s make it happen here… links.causes/s/clQo30?r=UKOM Once again, thank you very much for your support.
