Cedar River Update: Friday, June 14, 2013 (8:00 am Update) As of this morning there are no indicators that Waverly will experience wide spread flooding from the Cedar River. Presently the gauge in Waverly is reading about 8.0’ and is forecast to climb to 8.3’ this morning. On May 22nd the height reached 13.1’ and on May 31st the height reached 7.9’. 7th Avenue SE only becomes a concern when the forecast is nearing 10’. City of Waverly staff will continue to monitor the weather over the weekend and provide updates when warranted.
