Celebrating Nyeri Street Lighting Programme... Milika Mwizi Lights.... We spend so much time worrying about what needs to be done in our County that we miss out what has been done or what has started.... I wish to celebrate the fact that the County Govt has embarked on the street lighting programme in Nyeri Town and has put up a number of mulika mwizi lights... During the last Madaraka Day I raised the matter having heard the plea of residents especially the mugging in the evening as people go home.... The street to my office had no lights and my staff member was mugged and lost her phone.... I am happy to note mulika mwizi lights in Nyeri Town have been put up and its now much better.... This is only the first phase, County Govt will put up more.... It would be good to explore the solar ones... Solar Mulika Mwizi like those put up by Mp in Teso... I appreciate and applaud the Nyeri County Street lighting programme but they should match with cleanliness and good maintenance of our streets and roads...
