Weather Situation The tail end of a cold front lying over southern Victoria will weaken this evening. A high pressure system crossing northern Victoria will reach the Tasman Sea late Friday. The next cold front will move from the Bight to reach western Victoria late Saturday, crossing the remainder of the State overnight and early Sunday as a strong high pressure system develops south of the Bight. The high will remain over waters south of the Bight early next week, directing a southerly airflow across Victoria. Forecast for the rest of Thursday Cloudy. Isolated showers and drizzle patches this evening. Areas of fog about the ranges later tonight. Light winds. Friday 8 August Mostly cloudy. Areas of fog about the ranges early in the morning. Light winds becoming north to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 15.
