Central Information Secretary PTI, Dr Shireen Mazari said the PTI senior leaders expressed surprise and amusement at the speeches being made in Parliament by Aftab Sherpao and Mahmood Achakzai. They pointed to Sherpao and Achakzai’s own suspect democratic credentials with Sherpao’s involvement in the Mehran Bank scam. As for Achakzai, his democratic credentials were washed away after the muk muka he did in Balochistan for his brother’s governorship. The senior PTI leadership also wondered why and at whose behest Achakzai was targeting the Pakistan Army when it is fighting a war against terrorism? The PTI senior leadership stated that these assemblies were not interested in working for the people but were merely reflecting a Bandar Baant of favours and privileges. The PTI senior leadership also strongly criticized the US for intruding into Pakistan’s internal political matters by issuing a statement in defence of Nawaz Sharif.
