Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express. A daughter is one of the most beautiful gifts this world has to give and 14 years ago today I got that incredible gift! Time goes bye so fast! It seems to me that in increments both measurable and not, our childhood is stolen from us! not always in one momentous event but often in a series of small robberies, which add up to the same loss. As much as I want want you to stay a little girl forever, I know I have to let you grow. Character contributes to beauty. It fortifies a woman as her childhood fades. A mode of conduct, a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude, and integrity can do a great deal to make a woman beautiful.
