Chaisteil Coeffin. Dating back to the 13cty Coeffin, a Hall - TopicsExpress

Chaisteil Coeffin. Dating back to the 13cty Coeffin, a Hall house with a latter outer bailey was a stronghold of the MacDougall’s (Dhu Gaul. Dark stranger) originally Viking settlers. It was latter given to Sir Colin Campbell of Glenorchy. A small chapel with Cathedral status sits near by. The line of boulders in the foreground forms a Fish-trap, of an unknown date. The flat precipice on the right was a Celtic Fortress.
